Samsung A plus series are launched in order to bridge the gap between the budget oriented devices and premium Smartphone. Both the Galaxy A6 and A6 plus are very much similar in looks, design and even performance to some extent.
Samsung did the same with Galaxy A8 and A8 plus and even the S series Smartphone. Samsung A6 price is lower than Samsung A6 plus, which is justified given the extra set of features the latter provides.

The Samsung Galaxy A6 comes with a 5.6-inch HD+ display with 18.5:9 infinity display. The display panel is super AMOLED. The device runs on Exynos 7870 octa-core 1.6 GHz processor. The front camera is a 16MP shooter and the front camera is also 16MP. The device is powered by a 3000mAh battery. The device runs on Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box. The Galaxy A6 is available in 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy A6 plus comes with a 6inch FHD+ display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and super AMOLED display. The device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC octa-core 1.8GHz processor. The rear has a dual camera setup of 16MP and 5MP whereas the front camera is a 24MP camera. The device is powered by a better 3500 mAh battery. The device runs on Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box.
Both Galaxy A6 and A6 plus are very similar in design. The A6 series was launched on May this year. Both the devices have face recognition feature and also a fingerprint sensor on the back just below the camera, just like the S series devices.
The devices are not water resistant but the devices are splash and spill resistant, which means you can use the phone in the shower and even take pictures in the pool. While the Samsung Galaxy A6 is expandable up to 256GB the Galaxy A6 plus can be expanded up to 400GB via micro SD card.
Both the devices support NFC and also have the Bixby feature. Samsung used USB type C with this devices and that is a good thing. The Galaxy A6 comes with the older version of Bluetooth 4.2 while the A6 plus comes with 5.0 Bluetooth.
Overall the Smartphone was made to bridge the gap between the budget devices and premium devices. The pricing is slightly overpriced which makes it hard for Samsung to sell out this Smartphone.
The Fingerprint sensor is very snappy on both the devices but the Face recognition works almost 90% of the time. The face unlocks feature is not as accurate as premium Samsung S series devices.
The camera is way better than any Smartphone under 25000 INR but when it comes to performance, the device lacks behind many other competitors like Moto G6, Asus Zenfone max pro, Redmi Note 5 pro etc which have better performance then this device. The phone looks really classy and premium no doubt about that but lags behind in performance.
The devices were launched in the month of May and are available in Flipkart. Samsung A6 price in Flipkart is 21,990 INR and the A6 plus costs 25,990 INR. Both the devices are eligible for Android P upgrade.
If you are looking for a phone with great display and great looks bundled with an amazing camera, then you can surely check out the Galaxy A6 devices. But if your priority is performance then there are lots of options available in the market under the range of 15,000 INR, which comes with Snapdragon 636 chipset. Between A6 and A6 plus I would pick the Galaxy A6 plus as it offers added features in the processor, camera, display, and battery for just an additional sum of 4000 INR.
