Everything You Need to Know About Nokia 5.1, 3.1 and 2.1

HMD the parent company of Nokia who brought Nokia from the ashes is trying to make a comeback in the Smartphone world with their newly launched budget-oriented smartphones which are the 2nd version of the previously launched Nokia 5, 3 and 2. The Smartphone was unveiled in Moscow.

Nokia 5.1 is the top of the three Smartphone. Nokia 3.1 is the second in the list with specifications almost similar to the Nokia 5.1.

Nokia 2.1 is the cheapest among the three Smartphone and with average specifications. In this article, we discuss the features, specifications, review and launch date of the Smartphone in India.

Nokia 5.1 specifications

Rating

Nokia 5.1 has a 2.5D curved glass with Corning Gorilla glass protection. The Smartphone comes with a 6000 series aluminium unibody design.

Nokia 5.1 comes with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display which has a resolution of 1080x2160p and a pixel density of 443ppi which produces very sharp display.

The Smartphone comes with Helio P18 MediaTek Octa-core processor and has a MALIT860MP2 GPU. The rear camera is a 16MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and dual flash.

The rear camera can shoot 1080p videos @30FPS. The front camera is an 8MP lens with f/2.0 aperture and a wide-angle lens.

The phone comes with Android Oreo out of the box and the phone runs on android one pure ROM. The device is powered by a 2970mAh battery and the phone is available in 2/3GB RAM and 16/32GB ROM.  Nokia 5.1 is available in three colours, copper, blue and black.

Nokia 3.1 comes with 2.5D curved glass. The device has an aluminium frame and polycarbonate back. Nokia 3.1 has a 5.2 inch IPS LCD display in 18:9 aspect ratios and has a resolution of 720x1440p.

The device has a MediaTek MT6750 chipset with an Octa-core processor. The device has a MALI 7860MP2 GPU. The rear camera is a 16MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and the front camera is an 8MP selfie shooter with a wide-angle lens at 84 degrees.

The device runs on Android one and comes with Android Oreo out of the box. The Nokia 3.1 has a 2990 mAh battery. The device is available in three colours, blue and copper, black and chrome, white and iron. The Smartphone is available in 2/3GB RAM and 16/32GB ROM.

The Nokia 2.1 also has a 2.5D curved glass with aluminium frame and polycarbonate back. The device has a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720x1280p. The pixel density is 267ppi which is significantly low.

The device is powered by Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 chipsets which are powered by a quad-core processor with Adreno 308 GPU.

Nokia 2.1 has only 1GB of RAM and 8GB ROM which is very low as compared to its competitors. The device comes with Android Oreo which is based on Android Go OS.

The rear camera is 8MP and the front-facing camera is a 5MP shooter. Nokia 2.1 as a massive 4000 mAh battery which is the most powerful among the three.

All the three devices support NFC functionality and all the devices will get android P for sure. The Nokia 5.1 costs €189 which is equivalent to 14,800 INR. Nokia 3.1 costs €169 which is equal to almost 13,300 INR and the Nokia 2.1 costs €99 which is equal to 7,800 INR.

All the phone are great but I personally feel that Nokia phones are slightly overpriced and other mobile producers offer way better features than Nokia at the given price point. Nokia 5.1 is the best performing device amongst the three and is the best value for money Smartphone amongst the three.

Nokia 2.1, on the other hand, has below average specifications. 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM are just not enough for a Smartphone for even basic day to day applications. All the devices have NFC support which is a good thing. Overall all the Smartphone are better than their predecessors and have quite decent specifications.
